Terrain - Innterior

I've painted up a bunch of interior for the TTCombat Inn that I've made. This is a mix of all manner of bits.

The tables are Mantic Games Dungeon Saga and Terrain Crate, so is the bar. The barrel stacks is a mix of bit box, christmas decor and Renedra. The large resin barrel is from Dunkeldorf.

It was all base coated in different brown nuances and then painted after that. Fairly quickly done.

There's a scenario in Guilders - A Life In Shadows that has interior play in an inn, so had to get some stuff done for it.

There's all manner of different bits and bobs on the tables. Some are warhammer, some from Dunkeldorf and other random bits I don't know where is from. There's some Terrain Crate as well.

I do like the round tables from Terrain Crate. But it's a bit weird that they warp. Even after hot water treatment they bend the wrong way.

The fireplace and wine racks are terrain crate. The bits added to the fireplace is dunkeldorf, Anvil Industries resin candles and terrain crate bottles.

Only added a few pieces here and there to the bar sections.

The dwarf mugs, from an old warhammer dwarf kit. Excellent bits, I've used almost all I had now. The is a bit stable, used in countless conversions over the years.

TNT: Stalker reinforcements

My good friend is a big fan of the Metro PC games and when joining my 'I'll build an paint your warband, just come and play' campaign - we build a group like that for TNT.

After his first game he got super lucky on the wasteland exploration and found a plasma rifle, a minigun, three wasteland puppies and enough barter script for a new elite soldier.

So I build a couple of new models for the warband for our latest game.

Both have bodies taken from an Anvil Industries lucky bits bag. Actually these guys are mostly Anvil Industry bits. It's only added a GW 40k tau plasma gun to the leader and a Mantic Games GCPS pointing arm. There's also a few pouches here and there from Warlord Games.

Since building the original warband, I've also started playing Zona Alfa. So the original gang will be reused for that as well now.

Anvil Industry - Black Friday bit bag

Anvil Industry run a nice black friday sale of miscast bit frames. I got one last year and it was full of absolutely amazing bits (many of which I haven't used yet).

So this year I got another bag, for the fun of it, I feel lucky. These bags (and Anvils bits in general) are super popular, so their new website broke down from all the black friday traffic. I managed to get through though - so yeah me!

I do have a feeling that there were more bits in the bag I got last year - but that might just be sweet memories as I didn't weigh them last year. And last year I got 10 complete (legs, arms, torso, heads) models in the bag (that's sweet).

This year it was 6 model, if I get some old space marine arms and heads and some feet greenstuff fixed on one body.

Here's all the goodies I got this year. Let's take a closer look.

Super happy to have more bergen backpacks (was running low) and the assault shields I didn't have. These are perfect as I want to do some Spetsnaz types for Zona Alfa, inspired by the Order in Metro 2034.

The shotgun is huge, have to go on a big guy, like a marauder body or something. I might still have one of those, so he'll join my v8 cult. One of the arms is wielding a knife, that's a damn cool pose for a model someday.

Got some sweet modern military heads, that I don't have yet. These are nice to have for a lot of things. Some resin candles will come in handy for my dungeon terrain. And there's even three weapons for Gaslands conversions.

I don't play Warhammer 40k. But that big exo lord is super cool! I like his size. I think I'll be using him as a true scale deathwatch marine for an inquisitor someday.

These two are cool. One will become a neat cyberpunk drone. The smaller one will need repairs or it'll become an objective marker, return the broken drone thing.

Is the bit bag worth the money this year? Yes, I think it is. Great fun for me as I play so many different systems. I was hoping for a bit more of their modern stuff, as those ranges have expanded so much over the last year.

Crossing my fingers for the next time they do a sale.

Reality's Edge: Sgt. Cliff and crew

Here's my first crew for Reality's Edge. I like how there'll be options to get more dudes on the team and have a roster to pick from - if ever there's too many.

I did draw up various different groups on paper before deciding on this one. I made all tricked out top loaded teams, maxed out on guys with no good gear crews. I really want to bring all the different options - though it's impossible.

In the end I've settled on this group and made sure to keep some money in the bank - for injuries and bail. Not having an idea about how the economy will work out when playing.

Meet Sgt. Dwight aka. ‘Cliff’.

My Showrunner is a battle-hardened Enforcer, former squad leader for a security firm. He got mixed up in some bad business, a really messy job. He got all over the news network and got fired, losing pension, health care, housing, pretty much everything really. Now a Media Corporation has decided to back this old Enforcer – seeing some reality star potential in the mayhem he may cause.

You can get hurt by running into him or over him – hence the nickname. I went with a sword, shotgun, some armor and chrome arms – for swinging that sword harder.

Bits: Anvil Industry arms, legs and torso (all from a black friday lucky bag). Shotgun is from a GW 40k cultist, head is freeborn from Warlord Games Gates of Antares, katana from Warlord Games Samurai.

Tayna ‘Glitch’ Tanaka
is a sprawl Ronin – street samurai – of Russian and Japanese origin. Those nations are shadows of their former self, but the culture lives on, and Tanaka has all the worst traits from both Yakazu and Bratva. A deadly melee killer, she has chrome legs, torso and arms.

Bits: Warlord Games samurai. Added chrome legs from a warlord games terminator. The head is a gw 40k Dark Eldar.

‘Circuit’ is a Console Cowboy, an essential member of any crew. ‘Circuit’ is a decent – but cheap – console cowboy. He’s a mercenary, he works where the cash is, trying any job as long as the money fits. The on-off logo on his vest represents this – he’s switched on if there’s money on the table. This Cowboy has chrome legs, all the better for running with. Despite being about hacking, you have to get to the actual terminal first to get working, and if he gets in trouble they’re great for running away.

Bits: Anvil Industry torso and kneeling legs (lucky bag). Chrome leg is a GW 40k necron leg. Pistol is Mamtic Games GCPS. The head and deck is from Anvil Industry drone commander kits (excellent bits). The computer on the arm is a bit from Warlord Games Gates of Antares freeborn.

Ina and Hogger

The last part of the roster is a couple of gangers. Cliff knows the gang from his time in security – no head feelings, money talks and this is cheap labor. Ina and Hogger are both members of Purple Haze. Not the most powerful gang, it’s a small player and can fly under the radar easier. Being blasted out on reality TV might have consequences Ina and Hogger can’t really comprehend – getting eyed by the Blue Dragon Clan perhaps. All models of the Purple Haze have sacrificed and arm to gang – so all have a chrome arm.

Bits: Base models are Warlord Games Gates of Antares Freeborn. Hogger as a hat made from a GW 40k Adeptus Mechanicus robot. His pistol is from Mantic Games Forge Fathers. The chrome arm I don't recall where getting, but the hand is Anvil Industry.
Ina has a Mantic Games GCPS pistol and a chrome arm from a Asterian Marionette. The head is from Brother Vinnis.

The Crew.

Warband: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s / Metro 2033

Another Warband done for This Is Not A Test. I did these for a friend who's coming over for a game. He really likes the Metro PC games and has played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as well.

I've been wanting to do a warband fitting that style myself, so it was really perfect timing.

These are being run as Caravanners from the rules, as the deal in artifacts and all that. Reclaimers could have worked as well I think.

The full starting warband is consisting of seven models. All are based in Warlord Games WW2 winter Russian bodies. All heads and backpacks are from Anvil Industries.

Leader armed with an assault rifle and bayonet. I chose an AK74 from the Warlord Games modern soldiers kit.

A lugger, a melee fighter. He's armed with a pistol and a light melee weapon. Also gave this guy a shovel (if he's run as an excavator in reclaimers).

A caravanner, standard trooper, armed with a rifle and bayonet. This guy might be upgraded with a proper sniper at some point.

An elite, a better fighter, armed with a shotgun and bayonet.

Here's another lugger, armed with pistol and light melee weapon. This guy is also bringing a bunch of molotov cocktails to the party.

A specialist starting with the up-armed skill and a light machine gun. I don't know the name of this AK variant, but with the drum magazine it looked like a support weapon.

The last guy is another caravanner armed with a simple rifle and bayonet. This guys was originally made for Last Days, but the first model I build disappeared. He might show up one day, but I got tired of looking.
